During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top communication apps on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Below, we explore the trends for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

imo-International Calls & Chat from imo.im experienced a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $2.2K and peaking at roughly $3.9K by the end of December. Weekly downloads also showed a positive trend, growing from around 20K in late September to about 27K in the last week of December. Active users, however, saw a slight decline, starting at 2M and ending the quarter at 1.99M.

Azar: Video Chat & Meet People by Hyperconnect LLC saw stable weekly revenue, with a noticeable peak of approximately $2.2K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads remained fairly constant, hovering around 1.7K to 1.9K throughout the quarter. Active users showed minor fluctuations, maintaining an average of around 11K.

imo HD - Video Calls and Chats, another app from imo.im, demonstrated a steady rise in weekly revenue, reaching about $1.4K by the end of December.
